Ethan Gumb skating Yamba skate park.

Thanks to all my friends for getting in and helping me put together this film it means a lot to me YEWW.

Lesson of the Day - don’t stick grip tape to unsealed wood!

Yesterday I went to Yamba skate park.

Mum made me ride, she says its good for me, so I got my stuff together and road from my house to the skate park.

When I got there I dumped my stuff under a tree near the half pipe ripped out my wallet and ran straight to Bills skate shop, I asked if I could buy some black grip. He said “of course you can”, and went around the back to grab some.

When he came back I quickly grabbed my money put it on the counter and ran back to the skate park. I was so stoked that I tripped over my mates skate board and slammed my head on the ground. Quickly recovering, I got back up, got my blade out. and started to put the grip on my zflex - I did such a good job of putting it on. (The key is to let the blade do the work and cut towards yourself with the blade rested against the deck) a few hours later I road home to find that the grip tape didn’t stick to the deck.

Dad said that it needed to be clear coated so the adhesive glue could stick I was so bummed out. Photo and blog by Ethan Gumb Lesson of the Day - don’t stick grip tape to unsealed wood!

Body surfing and taking photos of waves  with my fellow photographer Rhys Boxhead at green cove.

This photo is of Rhys slowly swimming into this dark and beautiful wave on a cold and dark morning.

Old skates used to build the raddest electric guitars ever.

Show me someone playing one of these!
